We follow a river that is born in the Andes of Ecuador and dies in the Pacific Ocean. Known with many names starting as Pita, then San Pedro, Guayllabamba and finally Esmeraldas, this watercourse has the bad luck to pass near the capital city, Quito, where less than 5% of the sewage is treated before going into the river.

This documentary won “Best National Production” on the ninth edition of the ECOador Environmental Film Festival in Ecuador.
